July Empties

Another months gone by - which means another monthly empties post! How fast is this year going really?!

Sorry for the slightly strange photo of these empty products in the bathroom sink... I just cannot keep empty bottles around my room for a whole month, I am a little OCD! (This is why the products are all in separate photographs, taken at different times). I thought it would look really artistic, turns out it doesn't at all!

1. FCUK Body Butter - Love FCUK body care products, have used them for years. I do like this body butter but it has lasted an eternity.
2. Original Source Chocolate and Mint Shower Gel - I picked this up on a whim the other day, you may have seen it in a previous blog post. I don't know what I was expecting really. I really, really disliked it. I will not be buying it again. I don't know what possessed me to buy it! I thought it would be lovely cause I love chocolate, and then it dawned on me: why would I want to smell like chocolate? People must think I dived into a swimming pool full of after eights. I just didn't feel very clean with it I guess, probably because I love fresh, floral and fruity scents.
3. Little Black Dress Body Cream- I absolutely ADORE this scent. It is a favourite of mine from Avon, and I love it. I'm sad it has gone and I will have to wait a few weeks for another :( I much prefer body creams to body butters.

4. Natural Collection Ice Musk Spray - This smells very fresh and musky at the same time, its really refreshing and a bargain at £2. I will most likely be purchasing it again.
5. Charlie Chic Body Spray - I love Charlie body sprays, but often tend to buy the So...? body sprays over these. This one is a gorgeous, very sexy scent, very different to the more musky heavy scents like Charlie Red/Blue.
6. Next Just Red EDT 100ml - I cannot express enough of how much I hate this product! Not particularly for the scent, for the packaging! As you can see the red has pretty much chipped all off the glass, and it has gone everywhere in my bag and make up drawer! Every time you touch it,more of the red chipping comes off! I quite liked the scent but the packaging has completely threw me off, I'm not sure whether Next still sell this, but I definitely will not be buying this product again.

7. Gorgeous By Gok - Rich Moisturising Body Butter Mini - To say this is out of a Boots Christmas gift set, it is actually super moisturising and I am sad to see it go :( I cant wait for Xmas to come around again, and hope Boots stock these again!
8. Accessorize Body Lotion - This smells just like the original perfume, very floral and girly. Loved it!

9. Aussie Miracle Moist Conditioner Mini - I picked this up last weekend as I was away for the weekend attending a wedding. I hadn't used Aussie products for about 2 years, and had forgotten how gorgeous it leaves my hair and the heavenly scent, too. I used it up pretty quickly since then.
10. Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Daily Super Shampoo- I've had this shampoo for a while now, and like most Soap and Glory products, it smells delicious, but unfortunately I just couldn't see it doing anything good for my hair, so I don't think I will be repurchasing very soon.

11. Next Pure EDT 30ml -Another Next Perfume used up this month! Different to the other, I really liked this perfume. It smelt very musky and, as it is named 'pure' womanlyness. Does that make sense? Thought not. It is a gorgeous scent. It was the perfect size for my handbag, too. I had a nosey in next the other day to see if they still stock this, but couldn't find it.

How has your July been?

Tiny Haul...

Just picked a few bits up this morning before work.  Never tried any of them, so looking forward to trying them out!

Original Source Shower Gel in Chocolate and Mint - this smells delicious and cant wait to use it! It was onyl £1 from Asda reduced :)
Regenerating & Indulgent Body Spray - I've tried a few of these from Asda before, and they smell really nice, so thought I'd pick this one up and give it a whirl! Only about 81p too, bargain!

Stila goodies from TK Maxx - I've seen these a few times in the store, but decided to finally pick one up. I've never tried Stila products before either. The products are: Illuminating Concealer in Fair, Lip Shine Rouge Brilliance in Tulip Shine, and Fiber Optics Mascara in Brown. The packaging looks lovely, I'll let you know how it goes when I've tried them out :)

Beauty from Pound Shops?

Hello lovelies, hope you all had a fabulous weekend
Today I am blogging about a few little gems I picked up from my local Poundland and Poundworld stores.
A lot of people do not know that both of these stores stock their own make up, a brand called Chit Chat, and off course, each item only costs a pound.
They also sell other make up brands, such as Miss Sporty, Rimmel, Sally Hansen, for example.
The products are in perfect condition, its usually the case of discontinued make up brand stock or even older packaging, but I'm fine with that.
This is what I picked up:

All £1!
CHIT CHAT Highlighter - I brought this because I was pondering over buying Benefit's Moon Beam Highlighter, but at £18.50 a pop, I thought I'd give the Poundland highlighter a whirl first. The glass bottle looks identical, except the lid is white, unlike the Benefit highlighter lid is black. I'm going to see how it goes with this, and I will let you know.

Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm - As a self -confessed lip balm hoarder, I just tend to pick any lip blams up wherever I go. I know that these particilar ones are about £2-3 in supermakets, and I saw this at the back of a stand and grabbed it quickly as it was the only one left.

Value Pack - A lot of these Value Packs come in these purple packets, and have different items inside, so I had a good route through them and picked this one. Inside mine, I got a True Gold liquid Eyeliner, which is in pink and is actually very pigmented! I was wondering when I would use it, but I think I will use it on my upper lid in the summer (If we ever get one that is!). Also, in the pack, I got a Miners Lip Colour in Mulled Wine. It is a bronzey brown colour which is a little dark for me, but I am sure I canapply it veey lightly to get better use out of it. The last thing inside the pack was the reason I brought it in the first place - It is a Beauty Uk Eye Dust in 19. It is a silvery black eye dust, and is so beautiful. I am planning on using this for a night time smoky eye look.

What is the best product you have ever brought from a Pound Shop?

Superdrug Eyebrow Shapers

I recently discovered these Eyebrow Shapers from Superdrug. They are basically little wax strips (similar to the type of wax strips you can get for your legs) but they are arched slightly and are a lot smaller, about the right size to shape your eyebrows.
I've never waxed my eyebrows myself before, but I really do like using these! Its so much easier than spending a few hours plucking your eyebrows aimlessly in hope it makes a difference, or spending £ every 4-6 weeks to get them waxed by my beautician. Its a no brainer really, why did I not buy these sooner?!

They cost around £1.40 (ish) a pack, and you get 4 sleeves of assorted shapes (each sleeve holds 14 strips), which is a bargain really! They come with a little instruction booklet too, which off course you should definitely give a read before doing this.
Now, I am not saying that they make your eyebrows perfect in one go, you do have to work with them a little bit, but such a saving if you get them waxed or even threaded regularly like me.

Here are the before and after pictures. You probably can;t tell much difference, but there is a big difference in real life, honest!

Before

(excuse my digusting self! It was after work and I looked a state!)

After

Hopefully you can see the difference between the two!
I am really impressed! What do you think?

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 077 Asia

Hello lovelies, another lipstick review for you today. As you all know, I have a true love for Rimmel London lipsticks, especiallu the long lasting collection, as they are what they say on the bullet, a long lasting finish.

I love Rimmel London lipsticks, not only for their product and huge colour choice, but the packaging is sleek and classic, and looks beautiful in any ladies handbag. I love that the lid pops right on with a click.

As you can see from the picture above, the colour is a lovely pinky/lilac with a hint of purple undertone. Its a lovely colour which I use for day time wear, but I am sure you could wear it day time too, as its such a girly, yet sensible colour which you could wear at work right up to a big night out.
The lastability is outstanding, it really does last around 6 hours, which I think is brilliant for a lipstick which is just under a fiver!
It can, sometimes highlight chapped lips, but when lip balm is worn underneath the lipstick you wouldn't know the difference :)

This lipstick retails at £4.99 is most drugstores.
You can see the rest of the range of lipsticks on the Boots website here.

Have you tried any Rimmel lipsticks?

June Empties

Hello lovelies, today I have my very first monthly empties post. This month I have a handful of used products, but I forgot to keep my used Tresseme Shampoo and Conditioner Bottles!

1. Soap and Glory Girligo Spray On Body Moisturizing Mist, 100 ml
This is a lovely spray on fragrance for post-shower or bath. I really like this product, but it just seemed to last forever! Repurchase: Maybe.

2. Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers Perfume, 100 ml
To be honest, I was glad to see the back of this! I don't know what possessed me to buy it, it really doesn't suit me at all. I was begining to use it as a room spray as it smelt nicer on linen than on me. Repurchase: No.

3. Gorgeous by Gok Sensaitional 'Liquid Gold' Body Wash
I love Gok, as you probably already know, and got given two huge gift sets from Boots of body products for Christmas. I have so many body washes to get through, I finally got round to using this one up. Its a gold texture, which smelt lovely. Repurchase: I don't think they stock these any more, as they were part of the Christmas gift sets, but hopefully they will next Christmas!

4. Boots Natural Collection Ice Musk Bath Cream
I recently brought this when away on a trip to Leeds as I'd forgot to pack one (of my many) bubble baths. Its a lovely bath cream, smells divine and an absolute bargain at £2. Repurchase: Yes.

5. The Body Shop Moringa Body Butter, 50 ml
I love Body Shop Body Butters, and have a love for this scent. I blogged about it here. It has been sitting in my overflowing box of products for a while now half used, and was taking up space so I'm glad its gone, as much as I love it. I need to use more body butters up now, I have far too many sitting in my room! Repurchase: Yes.

Thats it girls, hope you have enjoyed this post!
Have you tried any of these products?
Hope you have all had a lovely June!
